We are a sailboat cruising group. Our co-operative does not offer training in the skills required to successfully and safely sail in the waters of the Southern Gulf Islands. In order to join our sailing group you must be able to provide documents that attest to having been trained by a recognized organisation such as the Canadian Yachting Association, the ISPA, or a similar training school. Also, in order to cruise you must have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card and a Restricted Operator’s Certificate (Marine) that allows you to use the VHF radio on our boat. Once you are a member of the co-operative, cruising to some of the locations listed is possible!
