How much does it cost?

Membership costs for the first year are: share purchase of $1000, annual dues of $650, maintenance work deposit of $250 and a $50 initiation fee. Total first year fees = $1950. Annual membership cost for the following years are either $650 (ten hours or maintenance work completed) or $1100 (maintenance work not completed).

What happens when I leave the co-op?

If you decide to leave, your $1,000 of share money is returned to you provided you give proper notice. One year’s notice is required.

What Training is required?

A Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) or it’s international equivalent is required by everyone who operates a boat in Canada. You can get the card by taking a boating safety course online, We work with local providers offering courses leading to the required Sail Canada basic cruising certification. A Marine Radio Operator’s license is also required.

How do you book a boat ?

Boats can be booked for cruises up to seven days, six nights. Only one cruise of this length can be booked by any member during out high season of June 1 to September 15. Our cruises currently start on a Sunday and end on the following Saturday. Booking is done through a dedicated scheduling website and is monitored by a board member to ensure compliance and fairness.
