Are you accepting new members?

Where is the boat located?

“Anglers Anchorage, Brentwood Bay, Vancouver Island”

How much does it cost?

”Membership costs for the first year are: share purchase of $1000, annual dues of $1900. Total first year = $2900. Annual membership cost for following years are $1900. There is also a $250 deposit for maintenance work to be done, renewable if 10 hours work is not done in the year.  Note that the annual fees are subject to change based on repair and maintenance needs.”

What happens when I leave the co-op?

”If you decide to leave, your $1,000 of share money is returned to you provided you give proper notice. One year’s notice is required.”

What training is required?

”A Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) or it’s international equivalent is required by everyone who operates a boat in Canada. You can get the card by taking a boating safety course online.  A Marine Radio Operator’s license is also necessary.  Intermediate sail training is required and must be documented through Sail Canada, the International Power and Sail Association, or similar organisations.  Sailing skills will be evaluated by Waterline.”

How do you book a boat?

”Boats can be booked for cruises up to seven days, six nights. Only one cruise of this length can be booked by any member during our high season of June 1 to September 15. Our cruises currently start on a Sunday and end on the following Saturday. Booking is done through a dedicated scheduling website and is monitored by a board member to ensure compliance and fairness.”
